I also wanted to share this old Finnish mail sack that I found. See that photo up at the top? I was so surprised and extremely pleased to find it because they are so rare around here where we live. And...it was actually affordable. I didn't have to get a home equity loan to buy it - hee hee!
For now it is draped over this old chair next to the fireplace in our family room. I'm really enjoying having it! I have always wanted to find one to make pillows out of, but now that I have it, I don't have the heart to bring a pair of scissors anywhere near it - go figure!!
Anyway, I hope you all are enjoying this Holy Week and I wish you many Easter Blessings!
xo,
Kathleen
I know exactly how you feel about the scissors! I'm a wreck for the first snip of a beloved textile. It looks great where it is...until you get the courage to snip away.:)
ReplyDeleteTotally understand :)
ReplyDeleteI just posted about moving a hutch into my kitchen! I love doing things last minute....
That is really a cool sack..just make a BIG pillow so you won;t have to cut !!
ReplyDeleteNope, I don't move furniture...I finally have a room large enuf to arrange the furniture the way I like it and I never move it..
xo bj
Definitely..having guests always makes me scurry and clean up, finish things and rearrange a bit!
ReplyDeleteThose flowers look lovely in the jar and I love the sack...sometimes it's just being able to look at something that gives us pleasure that can add that special something to a moment in time.
Happy Easter and many blessings to you and your family.
Love that mail sack! Happy Easter! Angie
ReplyDeleteLove the French music on your blog! Your mail bag is lovely-I've heard Finland is a fabulous country. My mother used to move furniture all the time. I would come in from a date and trip over a chair or whatever, so I don't tend to move furniture around to much, but accessories are another story, I'm moving them around obsessively! L.O.L.
ReplyDeleteI also start second-guessing everything and wanting to redo everything just before we have guests. It's natural i guess. Love the new grain sack - I have NEVER seen one that's affordable, so good for you! Thanks BTW for your comment on my blog - loved it!
ReplyDeleteKathleen, Easter Blessings to you too! I'm so glad you found my blog this morning and I have now found yours in return. I'll also be back and would love to add you to my favorites.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!
Diane
Cleaning always leads to rearranging for me. I can't ever help it! Love the sack and the music!
ReplyDeleteIt's Friday...but Sunday's Comin!
Dear Kathleen, I love the sack ~ it looks perfect over the chair. Hope your Easter is blessed.
ReplyDeleteThe sack is so pretty! I would have a hard time cutting it up too. So sweet of the boys to bring you flowers...their daddy is teaching them well!:-) Happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteLove the sack! I'm sure whatever you do with it will turn out fab, you are so creative.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!
Love your grain sack! I wouldn't have the heart either to cut it up!
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely mail sack you have found. It really is quite rare.
I'm from Finland and never saw that before. Great found, indeed!
Have a nice day!
