While running errands today, one of my stops was Sam's Club for a few items. They always have a fabulous selection of magazines and one of my favorite, as well hardest to find (for me anyway) magazines was there! You see, I discovered Country French for the first time with the Spring/Summer issue in 2008. I loved it and devoured every page over and over again. I waited ever so patiently for the fall issue to arrive and it never did. I waited some more and then some more and finally last January I found it - in Sam's Club - but was soooo disappointed because it was a reprint, one of those "back by popular demand" issues of the Spring/Summer that I already had. Anyway, long story short, while out today I found it again. It's been over a year but it was worth the wait!
Here's a little peek inside...
And then, I really wanted the Victoria magazine too. They had a spread about Kaari Meng. I love her! Her linens are so gorgeous!

Here are a few lovelies from French General...
Love all of this!
And lastly, I found a beautiful journal. There is something so wonderful about a brand new date planner with crisp, blank pages. Pages that wait to know what you have planned for the days and months that lie ahead. It's like a fresh look at the year ahead filled with so much potential!

Thanks for the "heads up" on the Country French Magazine. It is one of my favorites! Love that journal also, I'm wondering if it is the Andrew McMeel Pub. edition for 2010? I have the 2009 and just love it!
Love your beautiful blog!

I loved these exact magazines... especially the French General feature. Her new sewing items on the website are so pretty.

Love the journal, can you post the details. I don't think my 2010 will be the same without it :)
Kathleen,

What wonderful magazines.....coming from the U.K. most of these are new to me, but I do subscribe to 'Victoria' magazine and it comes to me from the U.S....I do love it but prefered it's original format...it was even more beautiful then.Aren't interior magazines the best ? XXXX
What gorgeous finds! Love the journal!
Great magazine and I love the beautiful journal! May I ask where you found it. A journal as pretty as that might actually inspire me to use it! A Happy Day for sure!
Cathy ♥
No better buzz than a new decor mag.except maybe 2 new decor mags!! Lovely journal too,I always look at those but never buy one, hope your feeling good! Chrissy

The crisp glossiness of new magazines are always a delight!
Morning Kathleen! I did the exact same thing with the Country French magazine and posted about it also a few weeks ago! I was so irritated they did that to us!!lol I have the new one too! Love love your journal! Problem is when I get one I don't want my ugly handwriting to ruin it!!!lol I need to renew my Sams membership because you are right they do have a good selection at reduced rates! Why must magazines be so expensive now?!lol Have a fun weekend - Sincerely, Jeannette
Wonderful magazines are getting harder and harder to find. And that journal...gorgeous!
I love the journal! There's nothing more promising than a beautiful cover & empty pages.Such possibility!
I have both these magazines. Unfortunatly I bought them for full price at Border's before going to SAm's. Next time I have to remember to check Sam's first. Did you get the journal there too? I do like a new crisp journal with pretty pages to turn. Thank you again, for all your lovely comments...I am so glad you enjoy Sea Cottage. And I loved every day of having my children home for school. I loved teaching them. I miss them now. My two youngest decided to try public H.S..and are really enjoying the social part, but miss me as their teacher. They liked that I made learning fun and the casual approach...we spent alot of time outdoors studying nature, art, reading in fields, etc. I am hoping I will have some grandchildren to help homeschool. If you decide to try it, you will not regret it. It's a wonderful blessing to have your children around.
I love the Country French magazine, too! I love this current issue! Like everyone else, I also like your day planner and would love to know where you got it.
I too have the Country French mag and have really enjoyed it! Don't you just hate when they do the "back by popular demand" repeat :) I'm all for any mag with practically no ads!!

Hello Kathleen - what a beautiful post! I love Victoria magazine, but have never heard of Country French! I'm going to keep my eye out for a copy! Such pretty spreads. And I adore your new journal! How sweet. You'll have to come visit my blog. I'm highlighting my friend Keri's paper creations and would love for you to see them.
Blessings,
Marie

we think sooooooo much alike ... I have a huge stack of the French Country ...I use them like my Bible
I love these journals! I have the last 2 yrs. , but not this one.
Also loved that Victoria article on Kaari Meng's French General. Just stopped in at Antique Crossroads today,(probably more than a year since I last was there) and found an old quilt on sale w/stitched animals and other scenes on white, with red borders.
I planned on making more of my Inspiration Pin Keeps with them, after scanning the pictures for future artwork. I thought of the article when I found the quilt:)'
'Have great day!
