The Laundry Room and a Chalkboard Wall

One of the projects that I completed several months ago {but never posted about} was our laundry room.

My favorite feature in this room is the chalkboard wall above the washer and dryer.
And the wood crates too.

I found a rolling cart that fits perfectly in the space between the washing machine and the far wall, so that is where all of the detergents and other laundry essentials are stored.
It allowed me to use the shelf above the washer and dryer to stack these old crates.  I store some of my glassware up there as well as an old wire basket and metal cloche.

An old seltzer bottle and some clothes pins

a basket for laundry

the sink
with a pretty mirror above

it was your basic, builder grade utility sink so I made a pretty toile skirt for it with black trim along the bottom.

hangers with faux grain sack covers

and finally, the chalkboard.  I love the chalkboard!!
Thanks for stopping by and
I hope everyone has a great weekend!

xo and God Bless,
Kathleen

You've made your laundry room a pretty place to be Kathleen! If laundry must be done, we must as well do it in pretty surroundings. : ) Love the sink area. I have a spot like that next to our washer and dryer, but we took our utility sink out {we never used it and weren't used to having one}. I have a laundry organizer on wheels there now, but my husband says he will put a counter over it for me. I'm actually looking forward to that just so I can skirt it!

Love all of it, esp. the ruffled "skirt" on the top shelf and the vintage bottle. My laundry room needs a lot of TLC to look good, but since we'll be moving this year I'll just have to wait for the next one! Have a great weekend.

Hi, I hoped over from Simple and Sweet Fridays. Love the quaintness of your laundry room! I have one very similar, but it has built in cabinets all above. I've decorated it with vintage items, but needs a little something. The crates and chalkboard are awesome! I have a link party, Share Your Cup Thursday. It's about sharing the things that make you happy. I'd love if you shared some time!
hugs,
Jann
